Clarinet teacher

Pau Rodríguez Ruiz: The Catalan clarinetist Pau Rodríguez Ruiz studied his bachelor's degree in classical and contemporary performance at the Conservatori Superior de música del Liceu in Barcelona with professor Isaac Rodríguez. In 2016 he finished his master's degree in classical performance at the Sibelius Academy, University of the Arts in Helsinki, Finland, in the class of Tuulia Ylönen. In addition to the classical performance studies, he also took pedagogical clarinet courses at the same university. Pau Rodriguez Ruiz is a founding member of the cello, clarinet and piano trio "Trio Kaukokaipuu", a chamber music group formed in 2015. This accomplished group has won several competitions, performed around Europe and premiered works commissioned specifically for them from current composers. Pau has also performed in orchestras such the Orquestra Simfònica del Liceu (Barcelona), under the principal conductor Josep Pons, Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, and Finnish National Opera Orchestra in Helsinki. Since 2016, Pau has been the Artistic Co-Director of the DeltaChamber Music Festival, an annually organized international chamber music festival that he created in his hometown of Amposta.
